Subject: Can I get a mortgage after I pay off the State Tax Liens on my Credit Report?
We are about to pay off the tax liens that are on our credit report We, also, have a few collections that we are paying off. One or two lates. We had a bankruptcy 5 years ago. The current score is low, but this should raise the score. I know that we will have real problems trying to get financing to purchase a house.

Does anyone have any ideas? The mortgage will be done on my husband's credit. He is former military if that helps. We will have some down. Do we even have a chance to get financed after clear up his credit? He akes about $50,000. Together, we make about $87,000.

We have thought about Lease to Purchase to give the credit about 2 years to 'heal' and improve. However, finding these types of programs in the area we need is really hard.

Any advice is appreciated.
