Index Release Dates
Knowing the actual date your ARM index is released to the public each month (index announcement date) is essential to finding the correct index value when using our historical data. It's equally important to know the exact number of days prior to your interest rate change date used by your lender to determine the date on which the most current index value is selected. This number may vary from lender to lender.
COFI The 11th District Cost of Funds Index (EDCOFI) for a given month is generally announced at or after 3 PM on the last business day of the following calendar month by the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco.
The Federal Cost of Funds Index (COFI) for a given month is announced on or about the 20th day of the following calendar month by the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (a.k.a. Freddie Mac).
The National Monthly Median Cost of Funds Index (COFI) for a given month was announced on or about the 15th day of the next following calendar month by the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS), and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).
The Cost of Savings Index (COSI) for a given month is announced on or near the last business day prior to the 15th day of the following calendar month by World Savings.
The National Average Contract Mortgage Rate (NACMR) for a given month is usually announced by the end of the following calendar month by the Federal Housing Finance Board.
The Fannie Mae monthly LIBOR has been discontinued. The monthly Mortgage-X LIBOR (London Interbank Offered Rate) index for a given month is announced by Mortgage-X on the 1st day of the following calendar month.
The BBA LIBOR rates are compiled by the British Bankers' Association daily and released to the market shortly after 11.00 AM London Time each day. The WSJ LIBOR* rates are published by the Wall Street Journal each day as part of their 'Money Rates' table.
The Monthly Constant Maturity Treasury (CMT) indexes for a given month are announced on the first Monday of the following month by the Federal Reserve Board.
The 12-Month Treasury Average (MTA) Index, also known as the 12-Month Moving Average Treasury (MAT) Index is calculated by Mortgage-X monthly at 7:00 PM on the last business day of the month using the reported Treasury Yield Curve Rates and is usually published on our website by the first business day of the following month*.
The Certificate of Deposit Index (CODI) is calculated by Mortgage-X using the H.15 Federal Reserve Statistical Release data and is usually published on our website on the first Monday of the following month.
The Monthly Treasury Bill (T-Bill) Indexes (Auction High) for a given month are calculated by Mortgage-X using the reported Treasury Bill yields and are usually published on our website on the first Monday of the following month.
T-Bills (Secondary Market) The Monthly Treasury Bill (T-Bill) Indexes (Secondary Market) for a given month are announced on the first Monday of the following month by the Federal Reserve Board.
The Monthly Certificate of Deposit (CD) Indexes (Secondary Market) for a given month are announced on the first Monday of the following month by the Federal Reserve Board.
